SC Surf announces partnership with VEO – June 9th, 2021
SC Surf is happy to announce a partnership with VEO Camera for the 2021/2022 Season.
South Carolina Surf Soccer Club (SC Surf) is the product of a merger between United Soccer Academy Mount Pleasant (USAMP) and North Area Soccer Association (NASA) that occurred in February 2020. Before joining forces, both clubs enjoyed a history of success in developing players and forming regionally competitive teams. USAMP was originally formed as a nonprofit organization in 1981 called Mount Pleasant Soccer Booster Club, Inc. USAMP provided training for players mainly living in the Mt. Pleasant, North Mt. Pleasant, Awendaw, McClellanville, Charleston, West Ashley and James Island area. NASA was founded in 2007 and was created to serve the area north of Charleston (North Charleston, Ladson, Hanahan, Summerville, Goose Creek, and Moncks Corner). SC Surf has over 60 teams for Boys and Girls and offers playing opportunities for players all over the South Carolina Lowcountry.
The Boys and Girls programs at SC Surf offer some of the highest levels of competition across the US. The Boys program will have teams participating across three leagues this upcoming season. The top teams will play in the ECNL, the second teams will play in the US Club South Atlantic Premier League (SAPL) and all other teams will play in SCYSA Leagues. On the Girls side, the top teams will compete in the Girls Academy (GAL) and all other teams will compete in SCYSA Leagues. SC Surf has been the most successful club in South Carolina for the 2020/2021 season winning nine out of a possible twelve State Championships.
“When evaluating our partnerships it is always important to ask who you want to work with? We believe with VEO that the product and mission align with what we are trying to achieve here at SC Surf. We also believe that a first class video solution available to our membership will enhance player development for all of our teams and coaches.
We want to show our membership that we are investing in the players, video analysis is important to every player in how they see the game and understand their roles and responsibilities on the field. We look forward to working with VEO.”
VEO Marketing Director, Chris Waugh said
“It is an honor to partner with such a great organization as South Carolina Surf. Learning how they have been using game film in the past and how they want to move forward shows the value Veo can provide the club. Veo will be able to provide SC Surf and its leadership the best video product available, allowing all their coaches and players the best possible way to analyze their games.”
