ACADEMY PHASE

AGE BRACKETS. The academy program is for players in the U10-U12 age divisions.

PLAY OPPORTUNITIES. Our academy players have the opportunity to participate in several levels of South Carolina Youth Soccer.

PHASE MISSION. Create a competitive environment whilst continuing to focus on the individual development and technique of the player with more complex skills and understanding when to use it. Recognition of attacking/defensive transition. Understanding the roles and responsibilities in each phase of the game. Process the game with more players and discover solutions to the problems they encounter through creativity, comfort on the ball, and playing out of danger using technical ability. Effective decision making takes more importance by concentrating on smaller numbers to highlight tactics and the progression to 11v11 within a smaller number setting. Introduction to the club game model and clear style of play within the academy.
